Deep customization.
Gameplay isn?t particularly forward-thinking.

The game has been expanded and redesigned in many aspects.
Artistically brutal
Some small technical problems
Limited variety of content
[8/10] reviewed at 13/10/2023 - Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on Xbox Series X/S [read the full review on GameReactor]
Co-op gameplay works really well
Melee combat you can really feel!
Missions can get samey after a while
Bloody Shooter
Harmonious classrooms
Chic staging
Gameplay de Fresh Gun
Performance issues
Raytracing sometimes leads to crashes
Repetitive gameplay
Monotonous prey
Long loading times
Action, brutality and fun in company
Good combination of ranged combat and melee
Virtually perfect soundscape and visual environment
Progress is a bit slow and makes it difficult to access new upgrades, weapons, skills, and equipment.
Mission development is very epic and full of adrenaline, and random touch suits you just fine. Overcoming high difficulty levels is a challenge that will make us enjoy many hours.
The soundtrack is a sovereign delight
Spectacular staging
Incompressible decisions when choosing the mission and in the progression system
Some situations become very repetitive, which is not helped by a disjointed history.
There is a lack of things to implement, it seems that it takes months to exploit
Unique Character Customization/Playstyle
Satisfying combat
Gameplay gets repetitive quickly
Slow progression at times

Fantastic combat
+
Does justice to the 40k universe
+
Visually impressive world
Progression too slow
-
Vague, disparate story
-
Lacks sufficient missions to justify its structure
Great audio and soundtrack
Engaging gameplay
Balancing issues
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
Squad coherency mechanics
Solid variety of elites and special enemies
Stellar soundtrack and audio design
Well-crafted graphics
Authentic to grimdark version of Warhammer 40K lore
Needs more mission variety and character progression
Restrictive mission selection and weapon rotation in the shop
More grindy than it needs to be
Fatshark still working on performance issues
Teamwork is a MUST
Entirely too many technical issues
The soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment
The gameplay takes the best of previous iterations and has been cleverly adapted to the new futuristic context
Designed for true Warhammer 40,000 fans
Still little content
In some ways, it looks like an incomplete product
Really poorly optimized
Four classes, thirteen missions and five challenge levels
Graphically, it can be evocative and spectacular.
The formula is basically always the same
Somewhat limited weapon purchase and upgrades
[7/10] reviewed at 10/10/2023 - Warhammer 40.000: Darktide, la recensione per Xbox Series X dell'action cooperativo [read the full review on Multiplayer.it]
Co-op is a blast
Meaningfully different classes
Mission structure mixes things up
Rough character models
Crafting system overly involved
Too many currencies
Richer enemy roster that emphasizes cooperation
Excellent depiction of the 40K universe
Optimization isn't great
Stingy progression
Disappointing narrative
Simple but effective buildcrafting system
Gorgeous visuals
Top-notch soundtrack and sound design
A ton of lore references for fans of the franchise
Frequent disconnections from matches
Unfair cash shop
No way to focus-farm gear or traits
Shallow and forgettable story
The increased focus on firearms adds variety and depth to the action.
The technical sector (very heavy) does absolutely justice to the reference material.
Store management needs to be reviewed.
The quantity and variety of content is not entirely satisfactory, which makes repetitiveness inexorable.
Very effective neo-futuristic/gothic art direction
A most divine soundtrack
The gunfihts mixing melee weapons and punchy petoires, nervous and above all enjoyable
Excellent ideas in terms of level-design, and its vertical and well-crafted appearance
Lifespan necessarily very good to do everything and reach at least level 30
The well-thought-out weapon and shop upgrade system
The Mourningstar, an immersive Hub and quickly imbuing us with the lore of Warhammer
A totally repetitive progression and too quickly boring
The narrative could have had a better treatment for a Warhammer game...
Microtransactions, what a horrible idea
Content still too poor, with improved features that are not even present in the game yet
We go too quickly around the handful of levels available, and with boring and uninspired objectives
A jagged optimization - long loads even on SSD, bugs in shambles ... -
Harmonious art design
Rough shooter
Multilayer Life Energy System
Ordinary depiction of violence
good landscape with nice RTX integration...
The character editor has little impact
Random gun store
Too little cosmetic design possible
... but which is poorly optimized
The composition of the group does not matter
Classes must be leveled individually
virtually no additional incentives to combat (no number of deaths, bonus XP, etc.)
weak, single prey
Fun team based game with necessary roles at higher difficulty, incentivizing teamwork through the health and ammo mechanics.
Atmosphere is solid.
Lack of content: needs more missions, map variety, and gunplay.
Melee spam is overwhelming.
White-knuckle combat
Very little content
Visual identity is big on skulls but low on interesting
dynamic gameplay
A soundtrack of very good quality
The Warhammer 40k universe gloriously respected.
The weapons shop is a great WTF
Card turnover leads nowhere.
We go around in circles very quickly
The promised content is not implemented
The app looks more like an Early Access than a finished title.
Overall gameplay mechanics
Random crashes
Missing content
A solid soundtrack
A quite fun gameplay
Repetitive and uninteresting tasks
A disappointing finish
Zero endgame
A well-organized team of four is necessary.
Excellent sound design
Fun gory combat
Nice script
Maybe not the most original
... You really want to experience brutal fights.
... A high difficulty level challenges you more than it bothers you.
... A lot of variety is important to you.
... You want to play alone.
