A good variety of game modes allows for extensive replay value.
Good variety of bikes with customisation options for those and your rider.
Addition of tracks adds even more variety, some looking fantastic.
The addition of fuel economy and tyre wear make the game more tactical in longer races.
Physics have been improved, creating a better feel on the track...

...However, it still messes up at times with collision and the AI doesn't seem to be completely bound by the same rules.
The AI, though improved, will still focus too intently on a specific line and wipe you out if you're already there.
The career mode, while structured much better, can be a slog and features some obnoxiously difficult events.
