A gameplay based on total destruction, fun and refreshing. A colorful artistic direction, cartoon spirit. Interactive environments that encourage exploration and experimentation. Retro challenges. A very generous game. DK is super endearing with his funny expressions. Perfectly calibrated for children under 12 years old.
Graphically, it looks like Switch 1. Too many underground levels, it lacks breathing space. Level design lacking inspiration at times. The RPG aspect that doesn't serve much purpose. Almost non-existent difficulty (for adult players). Uninspired and recycled bosses. Lagging against certain bosses and on the map. Unmemorable soundtrack.
