Fantastic characters
Some top-tier missions
Intense boss fights
Dogtown art direction is superb
Amazing soundtrack
Dynamic events are a great addition
Shallow dialogue choices at times
Some minor bugs
Finding the way to a new region is a mission in itself.
Large volume with a subplot of approximately 13 hours, 17 new side quests and missions, as well as vehicle thefts and airdrops as dynamic events.
Captivating story, extremely well staged with complex characters.
The side quests range from emotionally intense to ridiculously stupid.
Several decisions that significantly influence the course of the subplot.
New, highly impactful ending unlocked for the main plot.
A lot of variety in the main missions, even going as far as changing genres.
The highly complex and vertical design of Dogtown makes exploration interesting.
Often, a choice between secret or direct paths towards quest objectives.
Only the exclusive skill of the DLC enhances firearms, camouflage, or allows attacks on weak points.
Even for characters beyond level 40, quests in standard mode are not too easy.
The skill tree revamp, the more aggressive enemy artificial intelligence, and the research system are very successful in update 2.0.
Dogtown offers great opportunities for the chain.
Highly detailed characters and facial expressions.
The translation into English of the German phrase "Nach wie vor bildschöne Grafik (besonders mit aktiviertem Raytracing)" is:
"Still stunning graphics (especially with activated ray tracing)"
"Always stunning graphics (especially with raytracing enabled)."
Great casting in the original English version.
Mainly, an excellent German synchronization including Oliver Stritzel, the designated voice actor for Idris Elba.
New pieces of soundtrack beautifully underscore the key scenes of the plot.
Three new radio stations (not only for DLC buyers)
With a high level of character, it is incredible that from the first minute, rare equipment can be found everywhere in Dogtown.
The enemies behave in an unbelievable manner in stealth mode and in a stupid way during combat.
Intervention to increase reputation with the Fixers unnecessarily slows down the story.
The drops quickly lose their appeal and the search for relic skill points is not very enjoyable.
Some NPC scenes repeat over and over again when you pass by the same place, or end without a real conclusion.
A part with a higher prevalence of trial and error.
From time to time, technical issues with NPCs occur, sometimes mission triggers that do not work.
... if credible characters matter to you.
... if you want to experience Cyberpunk 2077 with a new gaming sensation or for the first time.
... if you value the freedom of playful decision-making outside of dialogues.
... if you are hoping for new story content from update 2.0.
