Interesting rewriting of the characters
Excellent gameplay, especially with the Kaméos.
A successful roster, with a return of forgotten faces.
Visually stunning
Relatively comprehensive training mode.
Easy handling always with good accessibility options.
The emphasis on combos, both on the ground and in the air.
The game consistently knows how to reward players, both male and female.
A recipe that struggles to evolve and relies too much on its accomplishments.
Solo content that leaves you wanting more
Lack of information on the specificities of the characters.
Some repetitions in the animations and a slight lack of expressiveness in the style of certain characters.

Varied and substantial workforce, significantly enriched by the presence of the Kameo.
Technically always remarkable
Solid netcode is translated into French as "code réseau solide".
Balancing seems to be an utopia now.
Less cleanliness and general care than what we expected.

All important special moves and finishers are directly accessible in the action list.
Easy-to-learn system for children, but that experts can refine.
Countless cosmetic customization options...
With a large team of 22 fighters (pre-orders will receive Shang Tsung for free as number 23).

Very good sound effects
Good speakers also in the German version
... but with almost typical abbreviations through in-game purchases.

The arenas are no longer "interactive".
Some animations are rather clumsy or quickly move on to the next animation phase.
No German voice in the Invasion mode.

New timeline emphasizes the best of MK?s setting
Wonderful art direction
Reptile is cool in this one
Invasions Mode disappoints
Story derails from its opening premise
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Particular attention to detail in all areas.
Smooth and well-designed gameplay with additions...
Average content, single player.

The Kameo system works perfectly.

Visually stunning
The story mode is the best one yet
Too many currencies
Character grinding is miserable

Gorgeous visuals
Great campaign
Stellar performance acting from most of the cast
Abysmal microtransactions

A story mode far from being anecdotal.
The Dantean content to unlock ensures a great lifespan.
Dynamic and still brutal fights
A large number of characters present from the start.
The tutorial mode, which is essential, is well introduced and quite comprehensive.
Some quite long and redundant cutscenes that we would have liked to be able to skip after a few viewings.
A gameplay that is quite technical and may discourage less patient/skilled beginners.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

... you value a good single-player campaign in fighting games.
... you are satisfied even without a lot of frills and trends.
...you hope for significant changes compared to its predecessor.

A greater stratification of gameplay
Technically very valid.
Additional terms not really exciting.

The fighters in Kameo bring depth.
The gameplay and performance are smooth.
Invasions in themselves are fun.
Great variety of characters...
Voice dubbing
Excess of currencies

A very successful artistic direction.
A truly captivating solo mode
Gameplay in the same vein as MK X and MK 11.
Where did the Crypt go?
A struggling Invasion mode that fails to impress.
"Cleaner" and less bloody than the previous installments
The cameos

Fantastic tutorials
Story mode is bonkers
PS2-era fighters are welcome
Fatalities are goofy again
Lacklustre character tutorials
Story abandons some characters
Invasions is a grind

The Invasions mode, a new and fun mode that should be updated through Seasons system.
A careful achievement
New brutal Fatalities, just the way we like them.
A high-quality voice-over
A present VF, although uneven.
The rollback netcode for online gaming.
The presence of Kung Lao, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero both in the roster and in the cameos. We would have preferred to keep these slots open for other fighters.
Possible cameos in story mode only.
More Crypt
The guard on a button, forever a heresy.
Gameplay too focused on controller players.
A learning mode that is frankly questionable.
Having to modify the settings of your console to change the language of the game is quite annoying.

Good tutorials to understand the mechanics.
Numerous accessibility features for the visually impaired.
Cameos bring an additional layer of strategy.
More interesting movesets
Magnificent arenas
For the Fatalities, a good vintage (overall)
Solid netcode...
Questionable French dubbing
Aberrant DLC policy
Seasonal credits and bite-me-the-knot micro-transactions.
Sluggish and redundant Invasion mode
...but stagnant formula on the rest of the online aspects.
