Code Vein II reviewed by GameScore.it
Review Code Vein II by GameScore.it
The time travel system and moral choices make the story emotionally intense and original.
Post-apocalyptic setting and well-characterized characters
The Blood Codes, the Formae, and the variety of weapons offer deep strategic possibilities and make the gameplay challenging.
The absence of a mini-map (in the open world) and the management of verticality sometimes make exploration more complex than necessary.
Some enemies are reused in multiple areas, reducing the variety and surprise in battles.

Rich gameplay offering many possibilities
The character design is successful and the allies have an interesting background.
The gameplay loop is working well.
A restricted map but without empty areas
Several endings are waiting to be discovered, without having to replay the game multiple times.
Some choices can influence the game.
Rather pleasant to the eye
The pace of the game: dynamic and focusing on offense.
Still a slight lack of overall finishing
A little too many reused assets in our opinion
The side quests are few in number and not very interesting.
No NG+ or the possibility to complete exploration or ongoing quests after seeing the last ending.
As in all games of this genre, the camera can sometimes be temperamental.

A "soulslike" with several original features in the sub-genre.
The design of dungeons still doesn't compare to that of the great 'Souls'.
The story has weight, but there are a lot of anime clichés.
