Offers strong characterisation and development as you progress through the game, developing your officers and empire
The AI is a mixed bag, decent for the enemy though relatively poor when left in charge of part of your empire
The accessibility has been taken too far at points, removing the ability to directly choose some tactical and strategic options
a ridiculous amount of content, with the custom content mode adding even more longevity
extremely great tutorials
plays quite uniquely from other strategy games.
the controls make no sense whatsoever (at least at first)
the game can feel cumbersome with the amount of options offered, and yet still feel quite shallow, at least in the non-military aspects
no skirmish or random map mode
no multiplayer mode.
fast paced
interesting setting.
some of the strategy elements feel a bit superficial.

Fantastic soundtrack and artwork
Not a huge amount of gameplay variety
Grid system isn't entirely well implemented
