A ridiculous learning curve with a lack of tutorialisation
Challenging and engaging tactical gameplay
Syncing attacks feels incredible
Varied missions force you to adapt on the fly
Boss fights are a blast
Easy to reset a turn or undo a movement if you make a mistake
It isn't always easy to tell what the range is on certain attacks or when certain things will Sync as you move
Sometimes you're just going to lose, because it's a rogue-like
I kind of wish it wasn't a rogue-like and we got to explore these systems over a longer campaign

Exciting characters and abilities to experiment with for hours on end
Sync attacks are unbelievably cool and satisfying to pull off
Metal Slug style and flourishes nailed to a tee with striking pixel art and satisfying audio design
Text font in menus and HUD is frustratingly small
Retains that comedic look and charm
Brings plenty of fresh new ideas
Roguelike elements only seem to frustrate
Successful and respectful pixel art of the original
