Immaculate world-building and intriguing characters
Dual-worlds premise is constantly engaging
Countless buildcrafting opportunities
Some of the best Souls-like co-op yet
A great showing of Unreal Engine 5's power
Floaty combat and inconsistent hit detection
Underwhelmingly easy boss fights
A few frustrating technical issues

Intriguing dual-world concept
Massive world with engaging areas to visit
Presentation is delightfully gothic and relentlessly bleak
Some enjoyably twisted boss designs
Combat system occasionally fights back
Magic system feels like ultra-easy mode and unbalances PvP
Frustrating opening filled with systems galore

Bruce Greenwood and Carla Gugino's tour de force lead performances
Mike Flanagan and Michael Fimognari's composed, confident direction
Numerous genuinely horrifying deaths and jump scares
A few overly sentimental moments
An episodic structure that gets repetitive in the show's second half

Combat is visceral and engaging
Excellent dual-world mechanic with the Umbra Lantern

The level design can be confusing at times
Pacing issues that take you out of the experience

Vida Extra
It maintains the essence of Souls and skillfully adds its own mechanisms to stand out.
Its staging and its story are epic, and the duality between Axiom and Umbral is very original.
The battle is awesome. It offers a lot of solo combinations and cooperative synergies.
The experience improves greatly in cooperative mode.
It has a lot of replayability and content to stop a train.
The performance on PC and PS5 is concerning.
The world of Umbral sins by confusing quantity and quality when it proposes a challenge. It is excessive pressure.
The feedback (sound and command) during combat could be improved.
