Each character's unique fighting style has been captured
Rock-paper-scissors style of combat is easy to understand and encourages strategic planning during fights
Character customization is fairly robust and fun to do
Fights against equally skilled opponents--both locally and online--are enjoyably tense
The story is a rather generic and bland conflict of good vs. evil that drags throughout its second act
Cutscenes aren't great, with little in the way of storytelling or believable character animations
The difference in number of playable female characters in comparison to male is disappointingly large

The fighting is incredibly fun, incredibly varied, and manages to provide a lot of fan service
character interactions in the game are great
there?s a whole lot of value in the game, with a lot of modes and characters on offer
The story mode is a dismal failure, feeling extremely generic and contrived all at once
the graphics of the game are an uncomfortable excursion into uncanny valley
storytelling falls short, and feels distinctly low budget
no English dub (though this likely won?t bother most people who will be playing this game)

Certain creativity in the moveset of select fighters
The battles themselves do run okay on the switch.
Lack of personality to any of the characters on the roster.
There is nothing engaging in the combat system.
The soundtrack is repetitive, boring background noise.
The visual downgrades are unavoidable on Switch, especially in handheld mode.
