16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Very lightweight and comfortable design with buttons based on the layout of the Xbox controller.
1080p 120 Hz screen
All the versatility and game and software catalog of Windows 11 (Steam, Xbox Game Pass, other platforms, etc.)
Price adjusted taking into account everything it offers and its superiority over the competition.
Incorporate FreeSync Premium, RSR, and FSR technologies.
Good integration of the Armoury Crate interface.
Limited autonomy in demanding games for maximum performance.
The cardboard support is a bit basic, a foldable base at the back would have been better.

Nice looking display and plenty bright
Performance was really great, didn't seem to get hot or lag
Very quiet, hardly noticed the fans spinning up when they needed to
Sound quality is decent, headphones are preferred though
The best battery life in a handheld, that's what sells this
Windows 11 sleep and wake problems, to be fair, that is a Windows thing
I wish it had the larger screen of the Legion Go
Lightweight
Great sound quality
Beautifully clear display
Familiar controls
The screen is not OLED but it is of high quality, fullHD, 120Hz and VRR.
All the versatility of the Windows system. All the stores and all the games from up to 40 years ago.
Many software innovations, support for FSR 3, and smooth motion generation improve performance and therefore durability.
Battery non-existent if you play at full power.
The heat is kept under control but throttling kicks in at 95°C, attention must be paid to the microSD slot factor.
The 16:9 aspect ratio is not suitable for very retro retro games.
Will the analog sticks stand the test of time? They are certainly not replaceable without assistance.
Excellent design and comfortable form factor

-
Windows OS holds it back

Possibility to connect the console to your TV...
Compatible with the Dualsense...
Compatibility with ROG XG Mobile graphics cards to have more power for demanding games...
Optimal comfort in handling
A simple and excellent design
The cooling system with two ultra silent fans.
The impressive console has Dolby Atmos sound quality.
Much more powerful than a Steam Deck with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
A huge game catalog
The all-in-one USB-C port and a headphone jack
... subject to purchasing a docking station
... although usable on Steam only
... which unfortunately increases an already high budget just for the portable console.
The battery life is very short - between one and two hours in gaming mode.
Relatively excessive price.
The Armoury Crate, or the Asus overlay that lacks clarity on the interface.
Some games are not yet fully optimized without an ROG XG Mobile graphics card, just like Windows 11.

Comfortable to hold, and efficient in heat management
Easily switch between PC and Console mode
Good sound quality, continuing the trend seen in other ROG products
Smooth sleep and wake-up process, providing quick accessibility
Born from an April Fool's joke, the ROG Ally demonstrates creative and outside-the-box thinking from ASUS
The update process is cumbersome with different applications for various updates, leading to unnecessary complexity and storage consumption
The bundled conventional laptop PD power adapter was seen as a disappointment, contrasting with the device's portable nature
The SD card positioning and suggested use for running games raised concerns about longevity and appropriateness
While adequate for shorter sessions, battery life might be limiting for longer commutes or flights
Support for USB-A and USB-C 4.0
Compact flap design
full QWERTZ keyboard
good battery life
possible stuttering in the frame rate
more expensive than other portable consoles
Underpowered
high frequency fan noise

From a pure performance standpoint, it has no rivals.
Windows 11 allows you to install anything and easily use Ally as a desktop replacement.
The situation with proprietary software and pilots is problematic.
We are not entirely convinced about the back buttons.
