Easily the definitive version of an absolute classic
Some legacy jankiness remains intact
"What If?" Animus rifts are?fine

Review Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced by Areajugones
Despite the absence of the present in the game, the addition to the main plot ensures that one does not miss the Abstergo part.
The design of its scenarios is the most brutal and never seen in any other recent installment of the franchise.
The improvements made to parkour make Edward Kenway's movements more fluid and realistic.
The new features, as well as their secondary content, ensure that boredom has no place in the game.
Minor and occasional bugs that do not affect the game's development.
The DLC present in the official version should have been included in this remake.

Excellent modernization of Black Flag's classic structure
Much more reactive parkour, reminiscent of the refinement seen in Mirage.
Simple fight, but extremely fun
Naval battles continue to be among the best ever produced by Ubisoft.
Excellent performance on PlayStation 5 Pro
The structure of some missions still reveals the age of the original project.
A large number of optional activities can give a feeling of a checklist.
Some time jumps harm a part of the narrative structure.

Black Flag naval combat, but better.
Wildly vivid colors that keep the original's spirit.
Additional story that only makes Edward Kenway's legend even better.
Some minor inconveniences with parkour mechanics being not-so-obvious.

Review Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced by N-Gamz
Visually sublime on PS5 Pro
Incredible climate effects
New secondary weapons for the Jackdaw
A huge feeling of freedom
8 new end game missions and 3 new officers
The appearance of historical figures like Blackbeard or Anne Bonny
Some narrative and gameplay additions
A successful immersion through the DualSense
A top-notch OST
Ship management and sea battles
The concept of RIFTS in a "What if" style.
History in the modern world is completely overlooked.
Many collision bugs
Audio bugs in the dialogues
A graphical remake with adjustments and a bit of content, nothing more. We are far from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3.
Camera issues are still very much present.

Luxurious accessibility options for difficulty level, parkour, and more.
Good complete tutorials (can be disabled)
New characters and missions integrate well...
Improved and expanded close combat and at sea combat systems...
Diverse game with stealth, combat, parkour, and naval battles.
Wide range of side missions and activities
High solo playtime (around 15 hours for the story, around 40 hours in total)
A well-staged story
Luxurious upgrade options (mostly optional) for Edward and his Jackdaw
Graphics significantly improved to an absolutely contemporary level
Textures, effects, and object draw distance significantly improved compared to the original.
Most often, cool weather effects on land and at sea.
Two graphical modes focused on either better image quality or a higher frame rate (console)
A high-quality voice (also in German)
Atmospheric soundtrack
Rich sound effects
... but they don't bring anything new from a gameplay mechanics perspective.
... where the chain takedown is potentially too powerful during perfect defenses.
Quality mode only at 30 frames per second (console)
Short but quite numerous loading screens.

Review Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced by wccftech
Beautiful vistas and depiction of 1700's Golden Age of Piracy
Original shanties are back and ready to get stuck in your head for another decade
Overhauled combat expands on the original with more combat options available early on and more tools beyond just a pair of cutlasses and as many pistols as one pirate can muster
Expanded story content surrounding Blackbeard and the various members of the Jackdaw
Still a far better simulation of the life of a pirate versus an assassin
Assemble the crew of the Jackdaw and seek out the One Pi...Observatory
Armor sets are purely cosmetic, so dress up in your favorite regalia
Dark Animus story content is a poor substitute for the original title's modern day elements
Hidden Blade combat is now solely limited to takedowns (although some veterans might consider this a positive)
Combat reworked to feel like takedowns are the main objective
Repetitive open-world checklists and collectibles
Parkour feels oversimplified with having to only hold down a button and move in one direction (expert controls are available if you do want to add at least a minor amount of complexity to the freeclimbing)

JVFrance
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced reviewed by JVFrance
Review Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced by JVFrance
A successful modernization of the gameplay without betraying the spirit of the original.
Naval battles remain a reference and continue to gain in spectacularity.
Approximately six hours of new content, including new quests and a true extension of the story.
The surveillance missions are finally less punitive.
Many quality of life improvements (automatic navigation, modernized interface, etc.).
The Caribbean remains a particularly pleasant and open world to explore, enriched with new areas.
The Rifts effectively replace Abstergo's contemporary sequences.
The customization system of Great Inagua Manor adds an additional objective to the exploration.
A lifespan even more generous than that of the original game.
A PC version rich in graphic options and accessibility features.
Multiple eliminations are too accessible and unbalance the fights.
Disappearance of several popular mechanics (secret blade in combat, weapon pickup, hand-to-hand combat).
The Jackdaw's autopilot still lacks reliability.
A loyalty to the original level design that reveals environments that are sometimes too cramped.
An optimization still uneven, with some stutters, bugs, and rare crashes.
Parkour sometimes less precise than in the original game, with occasionally erratic movements.
Mandatory download even with the physical edition, a difficult decision to justify.

Beautiful graphics filled with details and an intense luminous atmosphere.
Solid technology optimization, even playable on a Steam Deck.
Overall well-told story set in the world of pirates, focusing mainly on Edward Kenway.
good integration of contemporary characters
A strong German synchronization of the main characters
Ship battles are an entertaining and spectacular highlight.
Super Sea-Shantys, which make you want to sing along in chorus.
Dense atmosphere from start to finish
More freedom in the tasks.
New characters like Lucy, Padre, and Deadmen integrate well.
From now on, we can dive anywhere.
Dedicated button to sneak, instead of just relying on bushes and tall grass.
many ancillary activities
Possibility to gradually improve the chough.
Enhanced combat system...
What remains despite everything still too simple.
An AI that is still too weak, acting in a way that can be easily bypassed.
small graphical errors and non-player character (NPC) freezing issues
The new modern story is pleasant, but not entirely thought out.
Useless in-game shop
