Review Tales Of Eternia Remastered

Lots of JRPG tropes
Pacing drags
Voiceacting isn?t great

No new content added.
Aesthetic differences between the original and the remaster reduced to the essentials.

Lack of localization in Brazilian Portuguese
Interesting narration, but not very memorable
Unattractive world map and exploration not always intuitive
Soundtrack of little importance
Relatively subtle graphical improvements

Scenario that struggles to take off
Uninspired level design and somewhat dull map
Complicated movement with its 8 directions
Lack of a co-op mode (available on PSX)

Dungeons can be frustrating when it comes to navigation and managing TP
No real reason to explore the overworld

Combat too outdated to be truly enjoyable to play
Limited graphical enhancement
Still feels a bit dated in several aspects

Technically, it is really very outdated.
The core combat system takes a little time to get going.

Butchered opening cutscene and in-game animated assets
Visuals use bizarre mix of raw pixels and ugly smudge filtering
Unnecessary waypointing that compromises optional content and exploration
