A masterful comeback after eleven years of absence with Nintendo's absurd and unique expertise.
40 euros, unassuming AAA and fully embraced.
Ideal format for playing in short gaming sessions.
Ultra fast and precise image/sound calibration
Even more important content with the excellent surprise of Beatspell
The multiplayer mode for up to 4 players on a console that offers hilarious games.
The winners rewarded with comic book panels that enrich the wacky universe.
The fuzzy scoring system

The artistic direction, full of charm and personality. The mini-games, always inventive. The Remix levels, absolutely excellent. The soundtrack, varied and particularly successful. Beatspell, an excellent surprise that almost deserves its own game. Plenty of content in both solo and multiplayer. Accessible while remaining challenging to master.
The formula ultimately evolves very little. Performance evaluations sometimes lack clarity. Beatspell's progress is artificially hindered by the medals to be obtained. An interface that is a bit too plain compared to the rest of the presentation.

A couple of fresh ideas
Meaty multiplayer
Great Japanese bangers
Still below Megamix's quality
Can feel samey for veterans
No 4K/HDR visual upgrade for the Switch 2
While J-Pop songs are good, the localised lyrics were a staple

Nintendo-Town

Review Rhythm Paradise Groove by Nintendo-Town

Fun, fast, minimal
A lot of content
Perfect for solo and multiplayer, for short or longer gaming sessions.
Some mini-games have a more cryptic degree of musical readability.
Interface may be a bit too minimalist

Simplicity at its best
In terms of content, a comprehensive and complete package
The "idiotic" comedic scenes
Catchy melodies
Beatspell is a fun idea
No songs translated
Access to perfect attempts is semi-random.
Some features related to quality of life are missing.

Many pieces of music, often very beautiful, mostly pop.
Perfectly playable in portable mode
Potentially serious latency issues in TV mode (sometimes becoming unplayable)
Graphics only at the level of mobile phone games
High price for limited range

Musical diversity
Fun RPG story mode
Extremely humorous
Can be played completely blind

Very limiting progress
Error rate and accuracy not clear
Partially senseless modes

Many songs that hide more than one surprise. A huge amount of additional and unlockable modes. It's a delight for fast-paced games.
We really regret dubbed songs.
