Pros and cons for Orbitals List of reviews and ratings
To better compare, we looked for you the advantages and disadvantages of Below and the notes given by specialized sites.

Amazingly creative levels
Fun characters
Good story
Every so slightly glitchy

The artistic section is a beautiful ode to the anime of the 80s and 90s. The Spanish dubbing shines at a high level.
Mini-games are fun and bring variety...
The obligation to play with another person limits its audience.
Its linear structure leaves little room for exploration.

Various cooperative tasks that combine puzzles and action.
Often relatively free in what they do (using tools, piloting a spaceship, or shooting)
Through Game-Share or online friend code, a single copy is also enough to play outside of local mode.
Dubbing available in many languages, including German, Japanese and English.
Punchy soundtrack
Thanks to the friend pass feature, an online player does not need their own full version.
Permanent checkpoints could be created more frequently.

Jaw-Dropping Visuals
Great Soundtrack
Similar to its Inspirations
Story Slips Into the Background

A super effective staging
A game that renews itself in its mechanics
The three tools, all cool to use
An absolutely awesome OST
A top-notch French version
Not a very good replay value
The phases in the ship, not at the level of the rest

+ Innovative gameplay that constantly renews itself
A beautiful retro-animated AD
An excellent and catchy OST
A living base, its secrets and its competitive mini-games to unlock
The complete physical cartridge and the friend pass
A lackluster, not particularly captivating story

Hyper ingenious and filled with great ideas for asymmetric gameplay
An experience accessible to a much wider range of profiles than It Takes Two or Split Fiction.
The (intentional) framerate can disrupt during action phases.
Too short (and too easy for genre veterans), and lacking replay value.

Great music
Solid buddy chemistry between the main characters
Good puzzles

Great variety between flight, on foot travel, and tool use for puzzles
Wonderful retro anime aesthetic
Solid voice acting throughout
Very cushy and forgiving if you get stuck
A few noticeable momentum-based bugs
Some tasks will test your patience as a duo

Coherent and engaging co-op puzzle design
A fun narrative that hovers a spotlight over expected themes of transhumanism in a far-flung future
Online co-op runs smoothly and just works as it should
Isn't nearly as wacky or unpredictably fun as its contemporaries
Felt quite brief and the ending was kind of abrupt

Various tools and interchangeable responsibilities
Excellent artistic direction inspired by classic animes.
Soundtrack is one of the great strengths.
Excellent dubbing in Brazilian Portuguese
The story takes time to build weight for its main mission.
The supporting characters could be more memorable.

Fun cooperative gameplay
A compact adventure
Some puzzles are a bit too basic.

Un gameplay coopératif inventif
Des personnages attachants
Une bande-son remarquable
Un rythme maîtrisé (gameplay)
Pass ami, mais aussi GameChat et GameShare
Un manque de combats de boss
Des combats spatiaux simplistes
Une durée de vie courte

Engaging co-op gameplay
Enjoyable story

Very pleasant OST
Endearing characters
Varied and well thought out mechanics
Sometimes tricky but interesting riddles
A very well-balanced challenge
Never frustrating
Mini-games to unlock
A few small accuracy issues
A predictable scenario

Intelligently designed and well thought out cooperative gameplay
More challenging phases that will appeal to regulars
A beautiful OST with high-quality French and Japanese voice acting.
The small mini-games that break up the routine of exploration
The presence of a Friend Pass to play with only one copy of the game online.
Ultra limited replayability
The phases in the spaceship that deserve more depth
Scenario lacking interest

Interesting and well-integrated environmental puzzles.
Many options for playing in a group with just one copy of the game.
The inspiration for Split Fiction and It Takes Two is always constant.
About 6 to 7 hours later, we reach the end credits.

Various riddles (that are constantly changing)
Very well balanced
Well-paced
Endearing characters
Some precision issues in aiming
Too short

Masterful and deeply respectful artistic direction towards retro Japanese animation.
Perfectly condensed narrative and playful rhythm.
Exclusively cooperative formula binding in order to fully complete and explore.

Solid and engaging cooperative experience, with varied and well-structured puzzles.
Good variety of situations and changes in perspective
Fascinating and very meticulous artistic direction
Quality sound and dubbing
Space battles are less successful and sometimes chaotic.
Duration too short compared to the launch price

Solid performances and a great soundtrack
Co-op mechanics can be a lot of fun
Additional mini-games over some additional content
Gameplay often feels run-of-the-mill
Frequent co-op disconnects

Fun puzzles
Incredible anime style
Powerful music
Fun boss fights
Short game duration
Too few epic moments

The cinematics of the Massket studio
A simple but effective gameplay loop
The sections in the ship are not very interesting.
Cooperative design is very remarkable, with both players actively participating, exchanging tools, and needing to communicate to overcome challenges.
It features a wide variety of initial situations, combining puzzles, platforms, mini-games, exploration, and piloting.
The 30 fps limit and animations at 12/24 fps may not convince all players, especially those who prefer a smoother experience.
Freedom to choose who takes what among the gadgets
Some satisfying riddles...
Few gadgets and few varied situations
This leaves a feeling of unfinished business.
