[9/10] reviewed at 16/09/2026 - Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave : une aventure démesurée qui redonne ses lettres de noblesse à la série [read the full review on Le Bêta-Testeur]

Main and secondary characters inspired
The variety of clashes makes the game even more interesting.
The game saves us a lot of time.
A dynamic game pace
The successful design of the protagonists
4 stories to redo, but with different codes
Exploring dungeon areas is far from captivating.

4 heros, 4 histoires entrainantes, 4 tons differents
La possibilité de changer d'histoire a notre guise
Choix de doublage anglais ou japonais
Une bande sonore de très grande qualité
Défauts visuels hérites de Three Houses

Huge stellar cast of stand-out characters
Open-ended progression adds tons of value
Dungeons quickly get repetitive

Cool new mechanics
Feels like four complete games
Had to turn off classic mode
Support system still bland

Protagonists' paths and mechanics are unique and compelling
+
Deep tactical battles with scenarios that get increasingly dastardly
+
Flexible customization on how much or little you commit
Confusing, convoluted and overstretched turn-based time system
-
Mini-dungeon command battles feel very skippable (and can be)
-
Infinite rewinding can become a tactical crutch

Battle scenes are very clearly readable thanks to indicators and filters.
Comfortable controller control, support for mouse function.
Approximately 200 hours of content, if all the different routes are completed.
Interesting and warm characters...
New dungeons perfect for quickly leveling up...
Exciting and varied quest battles, with a well-developed story and characters.
Coherent and explorable world map
A large number of weapons, skills, and items offer even more detailed options.
Works according to the difficulty as a relaxed power-fantasy or a demanding turn-based tactic.
Successful new impulses with brand technique.
Open game structure allows you to start the final level before completing all the routes.
Consistent graphic design in anime style
Exchanges of beautifully animated blows
An exceptional soundtrack
Voice in English and in Japanese
Some information about the items such as "CA value" and "protection" are not immediately understandable.
Progression options and unlocking new units take a lot of time.
...but for some, barely supporting dialogues
...are rather monotonous in themselves.
Only one game rule; the one who gets stuck in a corner must start the whole chapter over.
The side quests for the inhabitants of the capital are often mundane battles.
The passing time while traveling can be stressful.
The game action always takes place at only 30 frames per second.
Contrary to Three Houses, there is no continuous full dubbing.
No German voice

The process of building your army and each character
The new combat possibilities work wonders.
Hours and hours of content to get bored.
A lot of filler in the dialogues and missions.
Repetitive and boring activities between the main battles
More moderate, surely, would have been better.

The strategic gameplay is of exceptional quality...
More visually beautiful than its predecessors.
Four itineraries that you can explore as you please.
Fantastic soundtrack
... although sometimes you may have to wait a little
The game still runs at 30 frames per second.
The dungeons and the world map are not assets.
Authentic characters who not only harmonize, but also sometimes argue.
Each road has a different sensation, even playful.
More than 50 potential allies
Demanding and strategic calendar system
Various paralogue battles
World map with many interesting places nested
Fast and entertaining battles and dungeon exploration
Complex weapon system even without classic triangle
It is possible to go back in time.
Firefighting techniques require tactical use.
Wide selection of cards with many different gadgets
Time and terrain play a role.
Great designs of diverse and successful characters
Exciting and emotional support discussions
Animated capital with changes day and night
Epic soundtrack that perfectly accompanies every situation
Very rewarding game structure
The story skillfully blends historical drama with fantasy.
The protagonist speaks too little.
Useless decisions
Transition from act 1 to act 2 unfortunately off-screen
Only one backup possible
reviewed at 18/09/2026 - Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave im Test ? Ein wahres Monster von einem Rollenspiel [read the full review on 4players]
A much more polished audiovisual section than usual.
A freedom like never before in the saga.
This can become repetitive over time.
It's a very long game with lots of things to do and discover.
Almost perfect combat system
Technically excellent both in terms of portability and on television.
The story is quite chaotic and requires a lot of patience to understand anything about it.
Some experiences, like battles in ruins, are less convincing.
Some controversial decisions in the second half of the adventure.
