...but it never pays off any of the tension its horror elements build up and the game feels a tad incoherent as a result
Multiple progression-blocking bugs, crashes, and a corrupted save file make it a bit of a technical nightmare at launch
Key elements of the narrative are placed behind a QTE that's very easy to miss and does a disservice to the execution of the story and its themes
A layer of its mechanics can essentially be ignored, which is unfortunate considering how well-crafted the rest are
