GamersGlobal
Good tutorials
Highly precise and intuitive gamepad input
For a Soulslike game, a very high level of gameplay comfort (fast travel, map marking, etc.)
Generally good opponent design...
Spectacular and demanding chefs...
Fantastic combat system
Different styles of ninja and samurai deepen the tactical level.
Large semi-open world inviting exploration
Several optional side missions, challenges, and collection tasks
Thanks to a richly filled game world, there is practically no boring grinding.
Attractive setting inspired by history with a well-crafted story.
Mainly superb animations and effects
Varied and successful graphic style at all levels
Extremely colorful graphic (especially with HDR)
Bold sound effects, even outside of battles
Catchy music
Good English and Japanese speakers
Online guide instead of in-game guide for more in-depth details.
... but recycles a lot of its predecessors

Being confined to sections of purgatory leads to a potential for frustration.

Areajugones
Gameplay has made a spectacular leap thanks to the Ninja Mode.
One of the most satisfying Souls in terms of gameplay-reward.
The open world is huge, but it doesn't feel overwhelming.
There are many customization options available.
Many "collectibles" are very well implemented in mechanical terms.
The invocation of allied spirits is well balanced.
Moving around in the open world and discretion work very well.
The story may seem more like a pretext than a central element.
We feel a certain shortage in the variety of basic enemies.

Impressive dual character and combat system that combines the powerful strength of the samurai with the acrobatic agility of the ninja.
The large open play areas offer a lot of freedom and provide a huge variety of missions, challenges, and collection tasks.
Graphic design technically and stylistically very good with superb animations and effects.
First-class soundtrack and brutal sound effects
Powerful boss design and a huge offering of optional bosses.
Very high level of comfort for a Soulslike game with a map, fast travel almost always available, etc.
Gigantic scope (50 hours

High level of difficulty, reserved for experienced players in series and Soulslike games.

MeriStation
The combat system is a delight and the new features make it the best in the saga. Team Ninja never disappoints.
The choice to alternate between two real-time combat styles is a pleasant surprise that completely revolutionizes the formula.
In an open world, it does not compromise the identity of the saga. It is well suited for alternating between large environments and levels of classic style.
Once again, the weapon and equipment forging and customization system is overwhelming. The possibilities are endless.
The multiplayer works very well and is filled with good decisions. Progress is shared and practically barrier-free.
Recycling is excessive. We have killed almost every enemy in Nioh and Nioh 2 hundreds of times.
The graphics section has become obsolete. Six years after Nioh 2, the saga demands an evolution loudly.
Most side missions do not bring anything particularly interesting.

ActuGaming
A rich, technical, enjoyable combat gameplay
A character editor still as surgical
A challenge, as always, but a more accessible episode.
Build possibilities galore
The samurai/ninja duality works very well.
A great lifespan if you want to do everything
Open areas that give the Nioh recipe room to breathe...
... but which are based on a slightly academic structure
Systems and menus up to indigestion, despite quite a few options to alleviate.
A forgettable plot and a fratricidal opposition left in the background for too long.
Technically and visually not great

Extremely rich and technical combat system. Brilliant and complementary Samurai/Ninja duality. Impressive variety of weapons, styles, and builds. Nervous, precise, and very rewarding gameplay in the long run. Massive content and exemplary generosity. Purgatory zone and additional challenges much more stimulating. Beautiful melodies in the soundtrack. The 60fps that doesn't falter.
