Vandal
In terms of gameplay, it's a delight both in single player and multiplayer.
The range of characters is very vast and varied, just like the levels.
Its pixel art graphics are simply stunning.
The leaders are a bit simplistic and could have given more of themselves.
The difficulty of the Campaign mode may be too low for many players.
The scoring system could have been more appealing in Arcade mode.

Pizza Fria
Varied roster with 15 unlockable characters throughout the game campaign.
Extremely fun and strategic double system (Cosmic Swap).
Beautiful pixel art
Excellent Arcade mode, with alternate routes available right from the start.
Very different characters from each other, encouraging experimentation.
Like any fighting game, it may seem repetitive to a casual audience who simply dabbles in the Marvel theme.
Characters like Ghost Rider may seem too powerful compared to other heroes.
One who is looking for progression in RPG style or more modern games may feel a lack of deeper customization.
Not all heroes are available from the start, which can be frustrating for those who want to "play with their favorite immediately".

Simple, efficient and brutal gameplay...
Pixel-art from the 90's
Appreciable and substantial roster
Fan service galore
The care given to the animations and the characters' identity
The team component that makes sense
About ten levels referenced and varied.
Arcade mode with modifiers
... despite the limited depth and progression curve
Recurring readability issues

wccftech
Gorgeous 2D visuals
Solid tag-team mechanics
Diverse character roster whose movesets synergize together well with the tag-team mechanics
Great leveraging of the history of Marvel Comics to deliver some nice interactions
Movesets are a little too safe, especially for characters that appeared in the CAPCOM Marvel games
Balancing issues with excessive enemy and hazards density, especially in later stages
Though the combat mechanics allow for creative tag-team combos, they are not really deep
Too little content for the price

JVFrance
Superb, detailed and colorful pixel art
A solid tribute to classic beat 'em all games, faithful to the spirit of 90's arcade.
A roster of 15 characters, a mix of icons and lesser-known heroes, even if some faces are missing, probably for future DLC.
The tag-team system
Campaign and Arcade modes are complementary.
The dynamic soundtrack by Tee Lopes
Playable solo or in multiplayer up to 4 players
Bonuses to unlock, including color palettes and modifiers for Arcade mode
A readability that quickly collapses from three players
The underutilized verticality, making some fights messy.
Maybe missing 1 or 2 special moves
The shared continues can generate frustration in multiplayer Arcade mode.
A somewhat sparse content (2 to 4 hours for someone who plays normally in its current state)
A recurring script bug at the end of the game prevented us from seeing the final level in Campaign mode.
