The objective markers on the map make orientation easier.
Two main playable characters with different strengths...
Merge the plots of Blood Omen and Soul Reaver.
The passage into the spirit world with Raziel has its good moments.
Resetting points
Remastered version adds playable level concepts
Free choice between a traditional fixed camera or a new free camera.
New textures and improved lighting greatly enhance the appearance (original graphics also selectable).
Good German adaptation of the main characters, especially of Cain.
Atmospheric soundtrack
The fights feel weightless.
Jumping and climbing can sometimes be difficult.
Triggering combat combos doesn't always work.
...which still feel very similar in practice
The enemies are not intelligent at all.
Very simple puzzles
Level objectives distributed in a way that requires a lot of back and forth.
Very statically staged intermediate scenes
Mixed musical setting for secondary characters
Some text plates contain only English.
