GameOver
Top-notch Action Doom.
Gameplay differences compared to Eternal, which renew the gameplay and eliminate any thought of copying.
Impeccable level design with numerous secrets and rewarding exploration.
A delicious medieval - evil - science fiction style.
Set pieces are initially more cliché than necessary.
The first levels seem simplistic because the game has not yet revealed all of its mechanisms.
The levels with the mech and the dragon will not appeal to everyone.

GamersGlobal
Six levels of difficulty
Several possible adjustments of details in case of damages suffered or inflicted, timing of bets, pace of play and much more.
Also very playable with the game controller.
Field of vision also adjustable on the console
The levels already played can be replayed directly upon request.
Fast and frantic shooting action
Panel saw, absolutely awesome tool.
Lush and varied arsenal of weapons
High solo playtime (for an appropriate difficulty level of 15 years and older)
Almost always fair and well-placed checkpoints.
Motivating progression system
The sections on dragons and on Atlan bring diversity.
Overall, the level design is very good.
Many secrets and bonus items
Pleasant puzzle and platform sections (much fewer and significantly better than in Eternal)
Technically exquisite graphics based on the id Tech 8 engine.
Design of a fantastic opponent
A huge level of detail for weapons, environments, and enemies.
Smooth representation throughout
Very short loading times, often invisible.
Catchy metal soundtrack
Powerful and rewarding sound effects
Completely and well dubbed in German.
Timing-based shares may not be suitable for everyone (the timing window can be extended)
Later, there will be one or two big fights too many.
The dragon battle is only moderately successful.
The story brings little added value.
Some application domains are visually rather dull.

Areajugones
This is the longest DOOM of the saga and there are no parts that seem to be filler at any time.
The gameplay remains as solid as in the previous ones, offering high doses of action.
The inclusion of parrying as a central mechanic in shootouts
A huge variety of wacky situations that create a fantasy of supreme power.
The level design is more ambitious than ever.
It may take you a few hours to get familiar with the new mechanics.
The story is a bit weak, but the effort is appreciated.
The cutscenes that interrupt the action and go against the pace of the game.
The soundtrack is somewhat less iconic than that of previous games.

DOOM is still the undisputed king of boomer shooters.
The new parry mechanic is appreciated.
The biggest and baddest chapter of DOOM of all time!
Technically flawless on console.
Once again, the bosses can be counted on one hand.

Atmospheric and equally cool staging
Exciting scenario
Variety within the countryside composed of 22 chapters.
Complex shooting mechanics - thanks to blocking and parrying, now a bit more tactical.
vast arsenal of weapons with additional features and numerous enhancements
Puzzle and vehicle passages
Many adjustment options
Hidden jokes and cross-references for loyal fans
Dragon sequences do not fully exploit their potential.
Sometimes very chaotic

Graphically and technically solid and spectacular.
Designing vertical and challenging levels, including collectible objects, secret areas, and challenges.
We deepened its lore by including a more solid narrative.
Its arsenal continues to overflow with personality and the shield mechanic is a real success in terms of gameplay.
New gameplay mechanics such as combat on the back of a mechanical dragon and the use of the colossal mecha, which bring variety to the gameplay.
We lost the frenzy by focusing on more open scenarios.
There is a lack of more variety in the enemies.
We could have made better use of the dragon.
Secondary challenges could better exploit the gameplay.

A rich, intense and technical hand-to-hand combat system. The chainsaw-shield: a brilliant idea, well executed. Top optimization, smooth framerate. A deliberate break from previous episodes. Thrilling sensations of power once mastery is achieved. The successful blend of heroic fantasy and techno hell in the artistic direction. A substantial lifespan, with many secrets.
Semi-open structure not very inspired. The backtracking phases are not very interesting. Puzzles are too basic and too simple as well. Some pacing issues in the campaign. Overall, level design is not as strong as in DOOM Eternal.

Dragon and mech sequences are pretty shallow

Niche Gamer
Parrying is a fun mechanic and worthy addition to the Doom man's abilties
Dazzling spectacle and heavy metal vistas
Meaty combat and visceral action with satisfying gore
Massive levels and considerate warnings for when players are about to cross points of no return
The skull crusher is an excellent new weapon
The lame feminization of renaming "I'm Too Young To Die", and difficulty modifiers cheapen the game's balance
The publisher couldn't be bothered to release the physical game with the game actually on the disc
The story has become very unDoom-like, focusing on uninteresting characters, and feels more like Warhammer 40K
Out of place turret sections, dull mecha sequences, and gimmicky dragon set-pieces that get in the way of the main gameplay
For a $70 dollar AAA game, it's too short, too mindless, and lacks multiplayer/co-op, and insulting yellow paint guidance

The new Shield Saw is satisfyingly overpowered
Fast-paced gameplay is intact despite the removal of dodge mechanics
New mech and dragon missions provide some gameplay diversity
Some characters are painfully bland
Platforming segments have been virtually removed and exploration is less vertical
Cinematic execution moves are almost nonexistant

The fight is, in a word, perfect.
Technically, it is amazing, especially regarding asset streaming and loading.
Granular difficulty management greatly increases replayability.
The sections on board the dragon spoil the overall experience.
On the most open maps, we notice a certain flatness in the design of the levels.
Sometimes, there is a discrepancy between the videos and the gameplay.

An excellent adaptation of the Doom style to the Middle Ages
A varied arsenal of weapons with no real bad choices.
Useful upgrades for firearms, shield, and close combat.
The pace of play is no longer as high and exhausting in Eternal.
Extremely satisfying feedback
Various difficulty adjustment options
Very powerful soundtrack and overall sound quality
The missing Glorykills hurt.
The genius of a Mick Gordon is missing
The missions with Atlan and the dragons have a potential that is lagging behind.
The story is still largely insignificant.

Well-implemented shield parade system
Varied and customizable arsenal
Excellent longevity with 22 chapters
Captivating and adrenaline-filled soundtrack
New mechanics that enrich the gameplay without altering it.
Some levels are a bit vast and scattered
The story begins without too many compliments or explanations.
The improvement of weapons depends on exploration.

Wild action with its own character: the player constantly feels the power and fury of the Slayer.
An ambitious and epic campaign with a storytelling like never seen before in the saga.
Deafening weapons for enemies that will give you no respite.
The way in which options are offered to adjust the difficulty and gameplay in our favor is commendable.
The soundtrack of Finishin Move complements the relentless brutality of its campaign.
He is so rough that you are going to destroy your controllers. The one who warns is not a traitor!
