What is going on guys Jesse here so Sennheiser just released the fourth version of their top of the line Wireless noise canceling headphones and with their reputation from making great sounding high quality headphones I had to check him out and one of the first things that popped out to me about these headphones was the look and honestly not really in a good way and I still remember when I first saw these I had to do a double take to make sure that they actually were the momentum fours because there's such a departure from what we're used to seeing from the momentum series like here are the first three versions and this is the fourth and honestly I feel like they just used to have such a unique and awesome look and
now they just look painfully generic and way less premium not to say that these are poorly built or anything but just compared to the all leather and metal builds of previous versions or even other similarly priced headphones phones from other brands design and build wise these just don't really scream out to me that they're 300 plus dollar premium headphones although I will say I do appreciate on this white colorway all the parts that are going to touch your head like these Supple Leather Ear cups and the rubberized headband gray instead of white so that you don't have to worry about discoloration over time but I was a little find out that the ear cups aren't really deep enough and my ears touch the drivers I hate that feeling and it's always the first thing to start hurting whenever I'm wearing headphones and I still found that to be the case with these ones I could only really wear them for like one to two hours before they started to hurt and it might just be because I'm particularly sensitive to that but just something to watch out for and okay I know so far you might be thinking that this review has been pretty

critical and you'd be right but the good news is that as far as criticisms go and the things I don't like about this headphone those are pretty much it because everything else about these are pretty great like other than the drivers touching my ears these are very comfortable clamping force is just right like enough to keep them on your head but not so much that you start to feel pressure on the sides of your head after wearing them for a long time they're also very lightweight so you don't get that fatigue in your neck and like I said earlier the materials on these ear cushions are pretty topped here super soft supple feels great on the skin also battery life is not just top tier but next level because you get up to 60 hours of continuous playback on a single charge which is I think the most I've ever seen on any active noise canceling headphone but if you do end up running out of battery you can plug these in for five minutes to get four hours of Play Time or to fully charge them you just need two hours so clearly a top contender in the battery Department it also comes with this hard shell travel case that protects it really well and is covered in the same fabric as the headband which feels really nice and it has all these elastic loops on the inside to carry your tables which isn't my favorite because it just doesn't really look the best and it's not really the most elegant solution but it definitely does work and it also does come with an airline adapter so that's really nice if you travel a lot
now back to the headphones the entire side of the ear cups are giant touch pads where you can use media controls volume up and down and stuff like that and honestly yeah no complaints here they just work really well the app I did have a little bit more trouble with just connection wise

like it would work for a while and then just all of a sudden not be able to find the headphones anymore even if they were connected via Bluetooth to the phone but in the app you would get most of what you would expect like for more updates battery percentage EQ which is just a simple slider for bass mid and treble which I really like and you can save your own custom presets in there as well they also have some sound modes at the bottom like bass boost for more bass obviously or podcast for more enhanced speech Clarity and honestly I think they sound really good out of the box so I didn't really mess with the EQ and I'll get into the sound in a second but yeah I think they sound pretty good they've also got this feature called sound zones where it'll automatically apply certain settings when you're in certain locations and I think it would be useful for stuff like if you go to the gym and you want a lot of bass while you're in there but not everywhere else you can set up a sound zone for that probably not something I'll personally use but nice to have you can also adjust the level of active noise cancellation I have it set to Adaptive where basically it'll just sense uh what's going on around you and then apply the ANC as needed in the active noise cancellation on these headphones isn't really anything to write home about it works it definitely does reduce sound but it's not really as good as the top contenders out there and same thing with the transparency mode it works but it's just really not the best doesn't sound the most natural but it does work and lastly in the app you can adjust what they're calling side tone which is just how much of your own voice you can hear while you're in phone calls and that way you can just regulate your own voice volume while you're talking so

you're not yelling in public and I guess while we're on that topic let's do a quick mic test so you know how you'll sound on these alright so the audio you're hearing
now is coming from the mics on the Sennheiser momentum fours let me know what you think how they sound I'm definitely getting some of that side tone action right
now where I can hear my own voice while I'm talking which I find very helpful yeah anyways this is how they sound let me know what you think all right and with that out of the way finally let's get to how these guys sound and I think for the price these sound very very good Sennheiser has a great reputation for sound and they've always been good at this stuff and these are no exception like they've got that super rich deep low end that'll really get you feeling it and not just hearing it and even though I would still describe these as being pretty bass heavy headphones they don't leak into the mid-range too much there definitely is still a little bit of mudding going on but it's not the point where I find them just not enjoyable to listen to the high end also can get a little bit harsh especially when you start pushing the volumes up really high but outside of that it's really not not too bad so overall pretty straightforward set of headphones from Sennheiser I think they might be a little bit maybe boring compared to something like the Sony xm5s but for the price I do think these are a little bit better sounding so if all you're after is a great sounding pair of headphones in this price range then maybe take a look at these guys anyways that's it for this one let me know what you think in the comment section down below like if you liked it sub if you loved it and I'll catch you guys in the next one peace
